Inspired by udukos's X-Sums killer sudoku #2.

Rules:

  • Sudoku: Place digits 1-9 in each row, column and region exactly once.
  • Full Rank: The digits on columns and rows, read in both directions, make a total of 36 nine-digit numbers. Cells outside the grid have a value equal to the rank in ascending order among those 36 numbers for the indicated column or row in the direction of the cell.
  • Killer: Digits may not repeat within a cage. A double-digit clue inside of a cage prevents both of its digits from appearing anywhere else in the same cage (this means 11, 22 and 33 may not appear in a cage, and 8 and 18, for example, may not appear in the same cage). A double-digit clue may include zero.

This is a next level puzzle - certainly using some logic I have never encountered before. Very difficult but once you do see the steps they are fair and extremely rewarding. Thanks for setting and sharing this Las4one!
