I found this rule quite interesting once I started playing around with it. This may not be the easiest puzzle but once you get going you can really chase some digits around. If you want the extra challenge you can try solving without using the cages that sum to 9 in both corners of the grid.
Hello.
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Digits inside a cage sum to the total given in the top left corner of the cage without repeats.
Centripetal rule:
Digits in a cage must strictly increase as the cells get closer to the centre of the grid. (R2C3 is closer to the centre than R2C2)
Have fun.
Lösungscode: row 9, first 6 digits.

A really interesting variant. Kinda wish it didn't solve quite so immediately after placing a 3rd digit, but it was pretty fun to puzzle through up until then.

Very nice, easy but time consuming but it eventually collapses - 30 minutes.

yes, there is an "easy" way to do this puzzle, but getting there right away is like buying one lottery ticket, winning, and claiming winning the lottery is "easy".
the trick is to recognize that after squeezing down the top digit in the anomalous cage (fairly easy to accomplish), and then a binary case nearby sets the middle digit, the first digit in that cage will be too low.
but nobody is going to FIND that pressure point without FIRST studying the puzzle carefully for an hour, and working out 90% of the cage candidates, and more.
then all of the previously entered candidates are immediately disambiguated.
and i suppose THAT process: search hard, find a clever piece of logic, solve the rest in a few minutes, gets you to "we love it".
interestingly, the "extra" 9 cages have absolutely no impact on any of this.

Very nice puzzle with a fun ruleset ! I really wanted to do the "extra challenge", but I clearly took it to a 3* for me (almost 40min)

Nice puzzle. Thx for posting it.
I took me about 15-20 minutes to get the 3rd digit. After that it was a cheesecake, which took me about 3 minutes

What a rule! This definitely has a lot of potential to make more novel puzzles.
