Triple Sum Lines

(Eingestellt am 4. Januar 2026, 19:33 Uhr von galium_odoratum)

I do not know if this type of constraint already exists, but I have never seen it before. It took me time to wrap my head around this logic (I am not that comfortable with arrow Sudokus), thus it is hard to estimate a difficulty, but I would say it could be anything from 1.5 to 3.5.

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Triple Sum Lines: For any three consecutive cells on a rose line, the largest digit equals the sum of the other two. For this puzzle only: When summing all three digits of a triple, the total must be at least 5.

Hint for the break in:

Straight Triple Sum Lines are generally less restrictive (even the maximum possible straight length of six cells can allow too many valid configurations when there are no further constraints). In contrast, branching lines tend to impose much stronger restrictions.

Beautiful to see new rulesets forming. I really enjoyed the logic once I found the break in and understood that it is all solveable with thinking and no trying out is necessary. Thank you for setting! :)
