Horseshoe Toss

(Published on 7. January 2026, 21:04 by NotVeryNeat)

I have never actually played horseshoe toss, or interacted with horseshoes in any capacity. I wonder if the game uses real horseshoes or fake plastic ones. Surely real horseshoes are heavy? Maybe a bit dangerous to be throwing? Anyway, here’s a sudoku.

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Region sum lines: Box borders divide blue lines into segments with the same sum. The sum may be different for different lines.

Dutch whispers: Adjacent digits on orange line have a difference of four or more.

Kropki dots: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio. Not all dots are necessarily given.

What a fun puzzle! I especially like what you did with the Dutch Whisper lines.

horseshoes existed for thousands of years before plastics were even a dream.
people do dangerous things all the time, for fun, like jumping out of perfectly good airplanes with only a bit of fabric to slow their descent.
