Normal sudoku rules apply.

Divide the grid into non-overlapping rectangles such that every rectangle contains one circle, and every cell belongs to one rectangle. The digit in the circle indicates the size of the rectangle (the number of cells). Digits do not repeat in rectangles.

Digits separated by an X sum to 10. Digits separated by a V sum to 5. Not all such X's or V's are shown. Additionally, all shown X's and V's lie on the boundary between two rectangles.

Love when people set these puzzle mashups at this difficulty level because with concentration and error checking I can do them.

Fun puzzle!

I think this is a perfect use of AI art; its a thumbnail you glance at for 2 seconds to get the mood of a puzzle. Nobody is going to commission art or spend hours drawing something detailed for a twice-a-week puzzle. Maybe for something like a puzzle pack or anniversary

ew, ai art

Fun sudoku puzzle though! I got good and stuck a couple of times, but managed to come back a bit later to find a new thread of logic to follow.
Admittedly did do a bit of rectangle-bifurcation to eliminate some pencilmarks, but I get the feeling that, with more experience with this ruleset, I wouldn't have needed to.
