Place the digits 1 to 8 once each in every row, column and 8 cell regions defined by cosmetically colored borders.
Draw a Mod 4 loop in the grid so that it moves in cardinal directions from cell to cell, visits regions only once, does not branch or cross itself and be sure to make it as long as possible. Digits are grouped by their remainder when divided by 4 (15 26 37 48).
Digits in cells marked with a Diamond must be either their row or column number.
Please leave a comment if you enjoyed the puzzle and Thank You.
Lösungscode: Enter the sum of the main diagonal from top left to bottom right.

I was worried when I saw there was drawing, but the rules for the loop put enough limitations on it that it was much easier than I expected, and the rest of the puzzle unfolded pretty quickly from there. Between the colored borders and coloring the moduli this was a very cheerful puzzle to look at and I enjoyed the quick solve! Merry Christmas!
---Merry Christmas! This was just one of those things that feels more like a discovery than a creation. Alas, if only there were a way to record a solve without entering numbers into the grid. I will try to include some German Whispers in my next puzzle but I don't expect to have anything for a couple of weeks. Have a Happy New Year!

The break in was very nice! 2/5 difficulty for me.
