Fallen Mast in a Storm

(Eingestellt am 9. Dezember 2025, 21:37 Uhr von marty_sears)

TRIPLE TROUBLE: Fill the grid with the digits 1-9, so that no digit repeats in any row or column. Each 3x3 box must be filled using only 3 distinct digits (with repeats being allowed.)

SAME DIFFERENCE: Adjacent digits along a turquoise line always have the same difference. This difference must be determined for each turquoise line.

REGION SUM: 3x3 box borders divide darker blue lines into segments, which each have the same sum. This sum must be determined for each darker blue line.

Lösungscode: Column 5 reading downwards

I did Triple Trouble first, so this one was really 1* for me. Very nice. Thanks.

Knowing the geometry tricks from the last one, this felt very straight forward 2 stars. Probably would have been frustrated at the rating if I hadn't done the other triple trouble first! Both are very delightful geometry adventures though! Thanks as always Marty!

Like some of the other solvers I needed some time to figure out what’s going on here. Suddenly I understood and a few minutes later it was done! Thank you very much for creating and sharing this beauty.

This looks much harder at first glance than it really is, and some of the logic in here is really quite beautiful! The 3x3 digits rule really does some magical things with the same difference lines, and the end result is quite pretty.

One star for this one? That's ridiculous, I have no idea where to start, even after completing Triple Trouble.
Oh wait, at least this must be true. And that leads to this. And now I have a digit. And 10 minutes later, it's done.
One star indeed!

Marty: yess hehe you make a good point here. There's probably a few tricky-ish deductions to begin with, but once you've found them, the puzzle is done!

Fun puzzle and cool concept. I think the rules could be clarified a little bit to add that digits must repeat 3 times in a box, I was confused about what "three distinct digits" meant for a while.

"Each marked 3x3 box may only contain three distinct digits."
Umm, what?
