Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Draw two one-cell-wide loops of orthogonally connected cells. Each loop cannot touch itself, not even diagonally. The loops overlap at '+' indicators (either by meeting at right angles or by passing through each other), and cannot overlap in any other cells in the rest of the grid.
Thermo-Loop: One of the loops is a Thermo-Loop. Whenever a Thermo-Loop travels vertically, the northern digit is greater than the southern digit. Whenever a Thermo-Loop travels horizontally, the eastern digit is greater than the western digit.
German Loop: One of the loops is a German Loop. Adjacent digits along a German Loop must differ by at least 5.
Circles: Cells containing a circle cannot be on the Thermo-Loop (but may or may not be on the German Loop) and count the number of Thermo-Loop cells they touch (both orthogonally and diagonally).
Squares: Cells containing a square cannot be on the German Loop (but may or may not be on the Thermo-Loop) and count the number of German Loop cells they touch (both orthogonally and diagonally).
Diamonds: Cells containing a diamond cannot be on either loop and count the total number of loop cells they touch (both orthogonally and diagonally). If a diamond touches a cell which both loops pass through, that cell counts twice for the diamond total.

I think 4* difficulty is appropriate here. If you understand the limits on the thermo ring, it falls together quickly. Cool idea and well executed!

There is no orientation or direction of the thermo-loop, the rule is that it increases in the rightward and upward directions: for any vertical domino on the loop, the north digit is greater than the south, for any horizontal domino on the loop, the east digit is greater than the west.

What is the starting orientation/direction of the thermo loop? Isnt that needed?

Wow! Tough but very interesting logic!
