This series introduces many of the common variant sudoku rules by giving 1-2 puzzles that familiarize you with how they work. These puzzles will frequently also use dynamic fog to help guide the solve path and keep things accessible. It is expected that you are comfortable with classic (non-variant) sudoku logic. When rating, please keep in mind that these puzzles are specifically meant to be more approachable than usual (like adding fog when it isn't necessary).

This is the first quiz in the series. Quizzes are where I allow myself to use the most recent variant rules introduced to demonstrate how they can interact as well as get you comfortable with having more than 1 ruleset in the grid. Should still be comfortably 1* difficulty. I also took away the fog to make it less obvious where to start and go next >:3

Rules:

• Normal sudoku rules apply: place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and bold outlined 3x3 box.
• Killer Cages: Cells surrounded in a dotted-line cage must sum to the total given in the top left of the cage.
• Black Dots: Cells connected by a black dot must have one of its digits be double the other (a 1:2 ratio). Not all black dots are given.
• White Dots: Cells connected by a white dot must have their digits be consecutive. Not all white dots are given.
