My first puzzle!!! This came together surprisingly quickly after considering the implications of the main rule, which was itself inspired by crotchety annoyance at the most recent hip meme.
RULES
Normal sudoku rules apply, and all clues are standard (each indicated diagonal sums to the total shown, and digits on thermometers increase from the bulb).
Additionally, this puzzle is devoid of merriment and joy: no 6 can be a king's move in chess away from a 7 or a 9, and no corner cell in the puzzle may contain a 3.
Lösungscode: Enter row 9 from left to right (no spaces)

Love this one. At first I thought I'm not going to make it. Resolving the 358 by coloring was the cherry on top. Thanks for this nice puzzle.

This one flowed quite smoothly for me start to end! Took a second to notice how to resolve the 3/5/8 at the end but I saw the solution pretty swiftly, so I really think this one's difficulty level is going to be very specific per person. A little less than 2* for me!

Agree with a couple of the others that the final deduction with the 3s, 5s and 8s is more than 2*, so 3* for me but still a very enjoyable puzzle, thanks for sharing!

Very fun puzzle! I got briefly stuck near the end because I completely forgot the three in the corner rule, but the puzzle flowed very nicely when I actually remembered the rules

Fantastic puzzle, except of the fact what is required to resolve deadly pattern in the end, I do not agree with the 2* difficulty rating.
