Japanese Forest Walk (1)

(Eingestellt am 10. November 2025, 00:32 Uhr von KNT)

Place the numbers from 1 to 6 in some cells such that no number repeats in a row or column. Clues outside the grid indicate the sums of connected groups of numbers in the respective row or column, in order, where empty cells serve as delimeters between groups. A question mark indicates any digit from 0 to 9, but no clue may have a leading zero.

Draw a loop network that travels orthogonally from cell center to cell center in some cells of the grid. On cells with a number, the network must turn or go straight. On cells without a number, the network must form a three way junction.

A green cell must not be empty, and must be visited by the network. The number placed in a green cell indicates how many cells make up the continuous non-empty section of the network that the number is on. On any such section (that may or may not have a green cell), numbers must not repeat.

Really nice.
I got the "facing" part wrong on my first try, though :D

Cool concept and a particularly engaging solve till the very end! I'm still pretty scared of the upcoming #2 though xD

@Piatato, maybe it isn't totally intuitive, haha. "Facing" is the direction that the half-segment is pointing.

Very nice, fun puzzle, but what a confusing code, haha! How does one know that an upsidedown T is the up facing one?
