Place each number 1-8 on the main grid 8 times. Each digit secretly represents a chess piece. There is one king and queen, and 2 each of rooks, bishops, and knights. No digit is able to attack itself. For example, if 3 is a rook, no 3 may share a row or column with another 3. In the top row, place the "chess pieces" in order- RNBKQBNR. The top row does not interact with main grid. No row or column may contain more than 2 of the same digit.
Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase away from the bulb (no repeats). Digits on an arrow sum to the connected circle. No digit anywhere on the arrow or in the sum may repeat. If a sum is multiple digits, the tens place will be on top or to the left. Digits in a grey square are even. Digits in a grey circle are odd. For clarity, no grey circles are on a thermometer.
