A Bleeding Heart

(Published on 28. October 2025, 19:55 by googuee)

Rules:

Normal 9x9 Sudoku: Place the digits 1-9 exactly once in every row, column, and 3x3 box.

Kropki Dots: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Digits separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio, meaning one is exactly double the other. Not all dots are necessarily given.

Ratio Line: For every pair of adjacent digits on the red line, one must be a factor/multiple of the other. Digits allowed on the line need to be from the set (2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9).
Example: 4-8-2-2-6-3-9...

2/2=1 not belonging to {2,3,4,6,8,9}, do I understand the rule correctly?

*** Thanks Gilliatt for the question. The digits on the line should be from the mentioned set. Not their quotient/product. So 2/2 is valid where Sudoku rules allow. I hope this clarifies. I will try to update the rule to make it clear.

I would rate this puzzle at a 3+ difficulty level, with a few digits requiring contradiction-based reasoning at two or three points during the solve. I could have made it a bit easier, but I chose to keep it this way for those who enjoy a challenge.
