PUZZLE:
RULES:
Normal
SUDOKU rules apply.
Cells along a green
GERMAN WHISPER line must differ in value by at least five (5).
White
KROPKI dots separate two cells of consecutive value; Black Kropki dots separate two cells where one is double the value of the other.
Place
NOSFERATU and
PREY cells into the grid so that there is exactly one Nosferatu cell and one Prey cell in each row, column and box; no cell may share a role; each Nosferatu cell and Prey cell must contain a different digit from others of its same type; the value of a Nosferatu cell is the sum of the digits within the Nosferatu and Prey cells of the same box; and the value of a Prey cell is zero (0).
There is a Nosferatu lurking somewhere within the
QUAD of cells surrounding the magnifying glass...
INTRODUCTION:
A collaboration with the mad setter himself,
Mad-Tyas, which is an incredible honour for me personally, given I've tried to emulate his brilliance on more than one occasion.
Based on the original Vampire cell — the one that got me into setting in the first place! — for which this puzzle represents a "rebranding". Lots of people have been clamouring to create their own style of vampire cells as it's that time of year, so we felt it best to rename the original and make it its own thing. That said, to my mind there's no school like old school. I hope you agree.
Have fun!
Lösungscode: The values of all Nosferatu cells, top-to-bottom.

Absolutely brilliant! The hardest part was cracking the middle box; the most inspiring moment was determining the prey in box 6. Thank you for nearly two hours of pure solving fun!

I had great fun to take part in the creation of this puzzle.
It was a rewarding journey starting with VikingPrime serving a brilliant opening idea to play with. A wonderful back-and-forth of ideas finally resulted in this puzzle, that in my opinion perfectly show-cases both our passion for exploring modifier logic.
