Lovely puzzle! This ruleset is very fun. I think some very fancy puzzles could be made this way, since it adds 0 and high numbers. The solve is relatively easy, once you figure out the vampire rules.

More of a 2* puzzle by my estimation. Most of the clues being entirely within one box create feeling of self-containedness that makes this puzzle approachable and fun, especially given the modifier type.
