• Normal sudoku rules apply.
• Digits in cages sum to the indicated value.
• Lines are palindromes. They must read the same in both directions.
• However, one of the digits is a 'vampire'. If the vampire digit is in a cage, it doesn't add to the sum. If it is on a palindrome line, it is ignored.
Examples: if 9 were the vampire, a cage containing {129} would sum to 3, and the sequence {1291} would be a valid palindrome.
Have fun and keep flutchin'.
Yours, Dying Flutchman
Lösungscode: Row 8, excluding the vampire digit.

Hmm, a bit tricky, but once I understood palindromic vampire logic all fell into place smoothly.

I'm normally not a fan of "x doesn't count" puzzles, but this one is strikingly brilliant.

Is there only one 'vampire'?
Yes, only one, DF.

This is a brilliant puzzle! The deductions involving the vampire digit were all very ingenious!
