Normal sudoku rules apply.
The sum of the digits inside each cage is equal to the small number in the top left corner.
Purple lines contain a non-repeating set of consecutive digits in any order.
Digits in cells separated by a V sum to 5.
Digits in cells separated by an X sum to 10.
All possible Vs and Xs are given (i.e. there are no Vs).

I sent this puzzle to Cracking the Cryptic in June, and they very kindly featured it. I meant to post it here soon afterward, but things got away from me and I'm just getting around to it now. I'm setting the initial difficulty at 3*, but I won't be surprised if it winds up at 2*.

Definitely a three-star for me, would border on four star if I hadn't done a ton of Colorado puzzles recently...
Very nice puzzle though! I'm almost sure there is a cleaner logic path to the solution than the one I took, but the puzzle offers enough options to work your way through the bits where I couldn't find the pure logic without having to bifurcate anything.

Holy cow, I am in awe! I agree that it's probably a high 2*, but what a joy to follow the colors as they dance around the grid. Gonna have to go check out Simon's solve now!

Solving this felt very similar to Golden Palindromes from earlier this week, and like that puzzle I got monstrously stuck for a long while in the middle, but also like that puzzle this was brilliant. Incredible!

Loved it, admittingly had to start over twice because I marked the wrong color and noticed it too late haha. Very clever clue using the renban to complete the puzzle.
