This puzzle was made in collaboration with aqjhs who came up with the foundational ideas. The inspiration for this puzzle was this one that was created for this year's imposter prompt.

I had an amazing time setting with aqjhs and creating this monstrosity!

Thanks to sanabas, MattYDdraig, and Sotehr for testing!

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.

  • Doubler Yin-Yang:
    • Divide the grid into two orthogonally connected regions such that no 2x2 area is completely contained in a region.
    • All cells in one region will have a value of 2D, where D is the digit on the cell, and all cells in the other region will have a value of D.
    • Cells marked with a diamond have a value equal to the count of seen cells of its region in its row and column, including itself.
    • Cells on the opposite region block sight.

  • Full Rank:
    • The values on columns and rows, read in both directions, make a total of 36 numbers of nine to fourteen digits each.
    • Clues outside the grid show the rank for the indicated row/column among those 36 numbers, where the lowest is 1 and the highest is 36.
    • Rows/columns containing a cell with a double-digit number may be more than nine-digits long. For right to left and bottom to top ranks, double digit numbers are read in reverse.
    • Numbers may have leading zeroes.
    • There are no ties in rank.

Solution code: Number in rank 10 (9 to 14 digits) including any leading 0s

Brilliant puzzle. Very complex and confusing, taking a lot of thought to understand some of the deductions in it.
A lot of clever and intricate steps and wonderful use of the full rank aspects throughout. Seriously impressive how all the clues come together and how everything works out.

Really enjoyed this messing with my brain, thanks for the puzzle.

Extremely challenging, but also an absolute masterpiece.

This breaks a lot of typical rank rules. It was very hard to get my head around practical assumptions that were illogical in the end, especially with leading digits. The only helpful things I can say is opposing ranks usually have the same number of digits, and I recommend using a pen and paper. This was brutal
