Normal sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9, once each, into every row, column, and 3x3 box.
The sum of the digits inside a cage is equal to the clue marked on the cage, if given.
On a green German whisper line, adjacent digits must have a difference of 5 or more.
Digits on a magenta renban line form a set of consecutive numbers without repeats.
A digit inside a maximum cage (seen in the lower right) must be greater than all orthogonally adjacent cells (excluding other cells inside of the cage).
(This was originally posted in a group whose goal is to only say "No" and avoid saying "Yes", or if you say "Yes", don't get caught.)
Solution code: Row 7

Fixed German rules

I loved it, but I gotta say that the rules almost got me as well.
I already gave up on the puzzle when I thought the maximum cage rule meant that all digits within the cage have to be bigger than all of the orthogonally connected cells to that cage. I guess that's on me, but maybe someone else tripped on it as well.
In the end I figured I'd try to push through and if I truly break the puzzle give it another go.
Obviously worked out well and was a ton of fun.

Great 2* snack. The early steps didnt feel very handcraftet. But the idea how the max cells work is beautiful.
