Slingshot Hexuro
(Published on 23. August 2025, 17:39 by Nell Gwyn)
- Hexagonal Kakuro: Place a digit from 1 to 9 in every empty cell such that digits do not repeat in an unbroken "row" (along any of the three directions in which cells share edges) without any black hexagons separating them.
- Numbers in a black hexagon indicate the sum of digits that clue sees in the indicated direction, up until either the next black hexagon or the edge of the grid, whichever is encountered first.
- A question mark may represent any number.
- Slingshot: If a cell contains an arrow, then the number in the cell connected to the tail of the arrow must appear N cells away in the direction of the head of the arrow, where N is the digit in the cell with the arrow clue.
- If the Nth cell in the indicated direction is a black hexagon, the number at the tail of the arrow must be one of the given clues in that black hexagon (a slingshot cannot send a number to a hexagon with no given clues).
- If there is a black clue cell at the tail of an arrow, and it has multiple given clues, the solver must deduce which of those clues is the number that the slingshot clue references.
- Clarification: The number that a slingshot clue points to does not necessarily have to be the first (or last) instance of that number seen in the indicated direction.

I edited some wording in the rules to (hopefully) be clearer, and also revised the difficulty estimate. The puzzle itself is unchanged.
Ich habe einige Formulierungen in den Regeln bearbeitet, um sie (hoffentlich) klarer zu gestalten, und auch die Schwierigkeitseinschätzung überarbeitet. Das Rätsel selbst ist unverändert.

I'm confused about the question marks. Do they have any function?
-- never mind, I noticed the relevant rule now.

ziemlich unverständlich, was X sein soll
jede beliebige Zahl oder immer die gleiche ?

X ist lediglich die Zahl am Ende des Pfeils, die je nach Hinweis unterschiedlich ist. Wir entschuldigen uns für etwaige Verwirrungen.
