Ghost town

(Eingestellt am 19. August 2025, 00:46 Uhr von Lithium-Ion)

This puzzle aims to be an easy introduction to the skyscraper rule. I assume that this type of empty-grid puzzle might have already been published by somebody else, even though I was not able to find something related to this puzzle on Logic Masters. In case this idea has been already published elsewhere, I apologize for duplicating unintentionally. You can play this puzzle via the following link: https://sudokupad.app/7ifqb2ga22

Lösungscode: Digits in the last row, read from left to right.

I was surprised by the fact that solely vertical skyscraper clues lead to a unique solution. Definitely a recommendation for beginners of variant sudoku. Thanks!

@PinkNickels: The regularity and the modularity of the skyscrapers clues leads to some very interesting patterns in the solved grid, even though I did definitely not recognized all of them directly when creating the puzzle.

Thank you Fisherman for your kind words. Indeed, I was fully aware that this puzzle is comparatively easy and for some people not a challenge at all. But for all people that are relatively new to variant Sudoku, I hope that this puzzle might be a joyful introduction, experiencing interesting patterns and recognizing how no given digits and a few clues can lead to a unique solution.

Was it intentional or forced (by some crazy theorem) or just serendipitous that the last row was segmented by mod 3??

If you are looking for an example of irrational human behavior, look no further. A criminally low rating for an educational puzzle. More hard-hitting condemnation coming later in the hidden section.
