Infantapaulting Hypothesis
This puzzle was made for a weekly Scojo setting prompt: set a puzzle with slingshots. I hope you enjoy it!
Rules:
- Nurikabe Shading: shade some cells in the grid so that all shaded cells form one orthogonally connected group, and no 2x2 area is fully shaded.
- Write a number in every cell: a number in an unshaded cells is a "Nurikabe clue"--the size of the orthogonally connected group of unshaded cells it belongs to. A number in a shaded cell is a "Cave clue"--the number of shaded cells that can be seen from that cell, including itself, where unshaded cells obstruct vision.
- Slingshots: If a bent arrow is present in a cell, the digit in the cell the arrow comes from also appears in the direction of the arrow at a distance of N cells, where N is the number in the arrow's cell. (The cell at a distance of N cells is called the slung cell.)
- Slingshot shading parity: if a slingshot arrow comes from a shaded cell, then the corresponding slung cell is unshaded. If the arrow comes from an unshaded cell, then the corresponding slung cell is shaded. (The shading of the arrow's cell is irrelevant.)
Lösungscode: The number of shaded cells in each row, from top to bottom. (For the example puzzle, the solution code would be 145262.)
