Thrown Shade

- Place the digits 1-9 once in every row and column.
- Shade an orthogonally connected area of the grid. The lined cells are shaded, and the X is unshaded.
- If two shaded digits are in the same row or column and are N steps apart, they differ by exactly N.
- If a digit N appears in the shaded area, it appears exactly N times in the shaded area.
Lösungscode: Unshaded cells in column 7

@Clementi Why are you torn? If you can't for the life of you solve the puzzle, then it's hard.
It's definitely not a 1*.

I'm torn on the difficulty of this one - I could see what the solution was almost instantly. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to prove it is the only solution...

I couldn't really think of a systematic or clean way to do this, but it was one of those ones where I got a strong hunch for what was needed, which just felt really right. turned out it was
