Min or Max?

I'm not sure if anyone used this variant of the min/max rule before, but it leads to some interesting interactions in the puzzle.
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Each 5 in the grid is either higher than all orthogonally adjacent cells, or lower than all orthogonally adjacent cells.
- Cells connected by an X must sum to 10. Cells connected by a V must sum to 5. Digits connected by a white dot are consecutive. Not all Xs, Vs and dots are given.

Really loved this puzzle! Finding the 5s was the easy part, I found the following steps trickier, 3* difficulty for me.

The constraint around the 5 is pretty cool. I probably missed some nice logic, I got stuck several times and was only able to move forward by trying out some digits. Not very simonesque... But nice!

Chasing those 5s was for me really challenging :) very lovely puzzle
