Modular Arrows

(Published on 26. July 2025, 12:59 by Die Hard)

Introduction

An easier puzzle combining arrow and mod-3 set logic. For reference, the mod-3 sets are:

  • 1, 4, and 7.
  • 2, 5, and 8.
  • 3, 6, and 9.

Rules

Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits on an arrow must sum to the digit in the attached circle. In addition, all digits on an arrow and its attached circle must either:

  • Be from a single mod-3 set (eg: 9=6+3).
  • Be arranged such that in every 3 digits along the arrow and its attached circle there is one digit from each of the mod-3 sets (eg: 6=1+2+3).

You must determine which arrow is which in order to complete the puzzle.
