Rules:
Sudoku: Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e., each row, column, and 3x3 box must contain digits 1-9 once each.
Column indexers: A cell marked in red in column X indicates the column where the digit X appears in that row. All possible index cells are marked in red.
Killer cages: Digits in cages must sum to the number in the top-left corner.
Kropki dots: Digits separated by white dots are consecutive. Not all dots are given.
Renban Lines: Purple renban lines contain a set of consecutive digits in any order without repeats.
German Whisper Lines: Two cells connected by a green German Whisper Line must have a difference of at least 5.
Dynamic Fog: The grid is mostly covered by fog. Placing a digit correctly removes the fog from that cell and possibly from some other cells.
Solution code: Digits in row 5, from left to right.

Very fun once I started getting the meaning a bit better.

Feels more like 1* for me

Ok, if it is red, its value is its column number. Got it, thanks.
Not necessarily, but it is one possibility.

Could you expand on that constraint please?
It means that unless a cell is marked in red in column X, it should not index the digit X in its row, which, of course, has a certain implication on how a row should be filled based on the colors of its cells.

A great puzzle. This confident setter did not make a taboo of fair use peeking for colors. We're grateful.

Took me a little while to wrap my brain around the constraint, but once I did it was nice and smooth. Thanks for the puzzle!
