This puzzle was made for Chatty Kathy's birthday. The design of the puzzle was done by Lissa41585. This was designed as a beginner pentomino style puzzle. Both of us learned pentomino puzzles from Blobz. I highly recommend going through Blobz pentomino pack and any other puzzle by Blobz.

Rules:

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits one through nine once each in every row, column, and 3X3 box.

Place all 12 pentominos inside the white cells of the grid. Pentominos do not repeat regardless of reflection or rotation. Each pentomino includes a grey circle, grey square, and a cell with a digit in the top left hand corner of the cell.

Each pentomino acts like a five cell killer cage. The cell with a digit in the top left hand corner of the cell, will indicate what the digits inside the pentomino sums too. Digits do not repeat inside a pentomino. The cage clue can be anywhere on the pentomino.

A cell with a grey square contains an even digit.

A cell with a grey circle contains an odd digit.

Cells separated by a white dot contain consecutive digits. Also indicate a border between two pentominos or a pentomino and shaded cell. All white kropkis that satisfy both conditions are given.

Critters in the grid may look familiar, and are just there to guard the puzzle. The 4, 1, 3, and objects outside the grid is to celebrate Kathy's birthday!
