Blue and Gold Fun

RULE SET:

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each row, column, and box.

REGION SUM (BLUE): digits on a blue region sum line have an equal sum N within each box it passes through.

NABNER (GOLD): Digits along a gold Nabner line must be set of non-consecutive non-repeating digits, and may appear in any order.

KILLER CAGES: The sum of the cells in a cage must equal the total given for that cage. Digits in a cage do not repeat.


For our color blind friends:
Region Sum Lines are thick and Nabner lines are thin.

Lovely puzzle! It combines some of my favourite rulesets in a beautiful and interesting way. Thank you, ebiggie!

When I started this puzzle last night, it had 9 solves and no star rating yet. I finished it this morning, I put in the code and expected to see the solve count jump from 9 to 50. Instead, it went up 1?! 10 solves? This is a fantastic puzzle and a great introduction to Nabner lines. I think people generally don't like nabner lines, hence the low solve count? I gave it a 2-star rating. I never got stuck. The 21 cage was a great deduction since digits don't repeat in cages, and even/odd ideas applied. The 16 cage was a gimme IF I just used the clues I already had written in. The bottom region sum line ruled out a certain number on two segments once box 6 was deduced. My point is - GREAT puzzle that needs more attention :) Thanks!
