It's been 2 months since my last puzzle. Hope you enjoy my newest puzzle. This was created just only 2 hours.
Rules:
1. Normal sudoku rules apply.
2. Digits increase or stay the same along a slow thermometer, starting from the bulb.
3. Digits in a quadruple circle must be placed at least once in the four cells touching that circle.
Do have a go!

I agree that this isn’t in any way a 1*, after the break in it was pretty smooth but it requires more knowledge of the mechanics that I’d say can be expected in a 1* puzzle.

I agree with davidz32z, the only reason you'd rate this 1* is to frustrate beginners into never attempting any sudoku ever again

Sometimes I feel like people are just flexing when they rate things 1 star lol. This is most definitely a 2 star puzzle for me. Very nice little break in once you see it! I always appreciate a puzzle with one or two obvious cruxes and then a smooth solve otherwise, and this definitely fits that! Good one!

i found this one quite easy - but i AM an expert at this variant (thanks, mr. toffee). (*)
any beginner can do this, with some coaching. basically, goodliffe the thermos, taking EXTREME care at the bends, reduce, and work the basic sudoku heavily.
(*) which did not stop me from breaking it on my first attempt. reverse bends can really mess with your head.

2 star here - and took me far too long to see what was going on - nice interaction!

I gave it a 2* just because it had me looking for things that I’m not usually looking for with a 1*. But very clever. I really enjoyed it!

Very fun. Loved the minimalist clues. Astounding how smoothly it solves!
