A Little Convoluted
(Eingestellt am 9. Juli 2025, 14:12 Uhr von gdc)
this is a follow-up to Minigrids on the Vine but with a slightly different approach to the "minigrids" concept. Thanks to the CtC discord for testing!
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply.
Convolution: A digit in a cell with a clue pattern counts how often that pattern is valid in one of the four 2x2 areas which include that cell. (Patterns can not be rotated or reflected.)
6x6 German Whispers: Adjacent digits on a solid green line differ by 3 or more.
Renban: Digits on a hollow pink line form a single consecutive non-repeating run when sorted.

Visual Examples
The first image shows a valid fill for the clue in row 4. The digit 3 on the clue is in a renban relationship with 2 of its diagonal neighbors (2-3). The 4 and 5 are also consecutive. This means the clue pattern is "matched" 3 times an the digit 3 correctly counts that. The second image show how to maximize the number of matches for the whisper pattern in r3c2.
Lösungscode: Row 5 left to right (6 digits)

Glad to see you back exploring this concept. I think the ruleset shows a lot of promise, this is a phenomenal proof of concept.
