Normal sudoku rules apply.
-Region Sum Line: 3x3 box borders divide the blue line into segments. Digits on each segment along the blue line have the same sum.
-Column Indexers (red colored cells in columns 3,5,7). The digit in a red cell gives the placement of that cell's column number in its row. (i.e. if row 6, column 5 contained a 9, that would place a 5 in row 6, column 9.)
-Row Indexers (blue colored cells in columns 2,4,6). The digit in a blue cell gives the placement of that cell's row number in its column. (i.e. if row 6, column 4 contained a 9, that would place a 6 in row 9, column 4.)
-Odd Stars: Digits in cells with Stars are Odd.

I absolutely agree with VitP, an underrated indexing puzzle of excellent quality. The only reason I can imagine relates to political reasons. Anyway, a puzzle worth solving.

truly bizarre why this puzzle gets such a "low" quality rating.
you can debate whether it deserves "brilliant", but it absolutely IS "very good".
as long as you understand stripe indexing, the solution flows very smoothly.
myself, i could not SEE the two stars in r9 until i watched mark goodliffe solve this (they disappear into the white glare of the screen at my viewing angle), so i needed a long chain to finish, but otherwise the ending is easy.
