Previous Dutch Flat Mate Puzzles
This has been a weekly series since '18 Oct 23'. Here is a spreadsheet link for all the previous puzzles in the series, which also has a few teasers for upcoming constraints/guest setters in the series (subject to change).
This alternative link offers a limited LMD search for Dutch Flat Mates.

Initial Setter Difficulty: 2.5-3 / 5
Normal Sudoku rules apply
Place the digits 1-9 so that they do not repeat in any row, column, or 3x3 box.
Dutch Flats
Every 5 in the grid must have a '1' directly above it or a '9' directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
'Tenable' (named after the original puzzle)
Divide each line into one or more segments containing values that sum to a multiple of 10, so that every cell on a line is part of exactly one segment. A value in a circle indicates the number of segments on its line (for counting purposes, lines are divided into the smallest possible increments, e.g. a 1-9-2-8 line is considered two segments, not one; also, counting starts from the end of the line, e.g. a 2-1-9-8 line is considered one segment).

Hint to start
The circles in Row 3 are limited by line length. Flat mates in Box 2 is useful to consider.
Special Thanks
This puzzle is inspired by the wonderful James Sinclair puzzle Tenable. That puzzle is a very rewarding solve but please note the step up in difficulty due to S-Cells.
Thank you to palpot (whose pot?) for collaborating on the setting of this puzzle.

I kept getting stuck in the beginning, running into seeming contradictions - just because my brain kept forgetting a segment could not just be 10 but also any multiple of it... Once I finally managed to keep hold of that idea it was a beautiful (though difficult) solve. Thanks <3

Wound up guessing on the box 5 circle, based on assuming that the other option would be too complex to work out even for this puzzle. Got lucky :P
Really neat how the rulesets play together a little. I don't usually like Dutch Flats puzzles, but it took a more minor role here, which was nice.

I would definitely share a flat with this mate! I've met them all and this one was one of the nicest (and they've all been very nice). Thank you for introducing!

After a quite easy start it soon became hard to find the next steps. (Well, for me at least.) In the end I was exhausted and satisfied having solved lots of arithmetic exercises… Thank you very much for creating and sharing this puzzle.

One of the more challenging DFM's of the series. Very nice. Thanks
