The 9th Symbol

Normal sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 to 9 exactly once in each row, column, and 3×3 box.
The 9th Symbol:
The cell at the center of the grid (r5c5) contains The 9th Symbol. Its value is a digit from 2 to 9, excluding 1! The exact value must be deduced by the solver.
German Whisper Lines:
On any green line, adjacent digits must differ by at least 5.
Region Sums:
Box borders divide the green line into regions. The sum of digits in each region must be a multiple of The 9th Symbol.
Ie: If The 9th Symbol is 9, Cells r1c2, r2c3, r3c2 must sum to 9, 18, 27, et cetera.
Knight Move Constraint:
No two identical digits may be placed in cells that are a knight’s move apart (as in chess: 2 by 1 move in any direction).

Couldn't figure out this one at all. Made an educated guess what the 9th Symbol was and filled out the whole puzzle. Now Imma go back and see if I can figure out why it had to be that ^_^

The break in for this was beautiful, the puzzle went from almost no progress to a "How did I not spot that sooner?" moment and the rest came together from there.
