- Normal sudoku rules apply
- In each cage, the digits either sum to the given number (sum cage) or multiply to the given number (product cage)
- No two cages of the same type (sum cage or product cage) with the same given number exist. E.g. if one 15 cage is a sum cage, then the other is a product cage
- Digits cannot repeat in a cage
- Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive (not all are given)
