Wonderful! The entire upper band was quite lovely. I echo abadx, but I feel like I got lucky with some prescient spots. The ratings on this site are funny, too -- I just solved your puzzle (listed as 1 star) 'Across' before solving this one, and I solved this puzzle 20%+ faster than that one!
