[TSL][S1T4] Primarily Systemic Killers

(Eingestellt am 1. Juni 2025, 21:44 Uhr von MathGuy_12)

This is my round 4 entry to damasosos92's The Skunkworks League.

The prompt for this round was to create a puzzle with a 4 cell solution space but with unlimited information space that also requires no outside information.

Other puzzles from this round made using this prompt can be found by searching for [TSL] and [S1T4] in the title.

Rules:

Fill the four cells above the grid with digits so that they form two 2-digit numbers. The leftmost number gives the sum of the indicated negative diagonal on the right and the rightmost number gives the sum of the indicated positive diagonal on the left. The two totals must allow the sudoku to not be broken, but does not necessarily mean the puzzle will be resolved. The rules for the grid are as follows:

  • Normal 16x16 sudoku rules apply. Fill each row, column, and 4x4 box with the numbers 1 to 16 without repeats.

  • Purple lines are Renban lines and contain a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits arranged in any order.

  • Blue lines are Region Sum lines and are divided into segments by region borders where each segment has the same sum. Different lines may have different sums.

  • Green lines are Prime Modular lines where any selection of P adjacent digits along the line contains all of the values from 0 to P – 1 mod P. P must be a prime number and may have different values for different lines.

  • Expressions outside the grid are Little Killer clues. Digits along indicated diagonals sum to the provided expression. Variables of the same letter have the same value across clues.

  • Disjoint group rules apply. Digits within the same position of different boxes must not repeat.

  • Digits may not repeat along either major diagonal.

Lösungscode: A, B, and C followed by the 4 entered LK cells in the top row.

Some extraordinary maths in this one! I'm not sure quite how much it really captured the spirit of the prompt, being to set a puzzle in 4-cells!! But you've really gone above and beyond and been extremely creative with it, and it's incredibly well set!
