The Apple Bush and The Apple Tree

INTRODUCTION

Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty blackbirds.
Baked in a pie.


While only "The Apple Tree" is required for the solution code, I encourage solvers to try "The Apple Bush" first as it works as a great introduction to the tree variant constraint.


1. THE APPLE BUSH

Rules:
Normal 6x6 Sudoku rules apply.

The Tree:
In r6c4 there is a sappling that grows into a tree entirely contained within the grid. The tree branches upwards through cells depending on its nutrient level (a cell's value). The tree must only branch upwards into any of the above three adjacent cells with the following logic -
Nutrient level 1 - 2 = Does not branch up any further.
Nutrient level 3 - 4 = branches up 1 time.
Nutrient level 5 - 6 = branches up 2 times.
i.e. if r3c3 was a 5 and a part of the tree it would branch into two of the following cells {r2c2, r2c3, r2c4}. Branches never merge or cross diagonally.

Apples:
All apples hang on the tree. Digits on apples never repeat.

Blackbirds:
Digits separated by a black bird (black kropki dot) have a ratio of 1:2.

I am not the best at pruning trees. But i managed to solve it. It was hard but it was fun. Thank you for that! I will eat an apple now.
