Line It Up

(Published on 22. May 2025, 15:37 by ChinStrap)

Tried to make what I believe is a new line type. Thanks to everyone who tested!

Rules:

  • Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply.
  • Column Indexer Lines: Each line has a circled cell and a diamond. A digit in position N (starting with the diamond as position 1) on a line says what column the circled digit is in for row N. For instance, if position 4 on a line contains a 3, and that line has a circled 1, then r4c3 is a 1.

All feedback (positive or critical) appreciated!

Solution code: Row 4, left to right (6 digits)

The rule is not easy to really understand. Only with logic I didnt get all steps. Once I needed to look ahead for two cases to check if valid. Maybe I missed sth. Great fun anyway.

Took a bit for me to get used to as indexing puzzles usually do, but fairly smooth and enjoyable once I got rolling.
