This puzzle was written for one of Scojo's Setting Saturday prompts. This prompt was forced by aqjhs who asked us to set a puzzle using the Doppel-Dög line constraint. Here is my attempt to combine this with sandwich sums.
Place the digits 1-9 in every row, column & 3x3 box.
Draw a loop of orthogonally connected cells in the grid passing through the cell containing the dog.
The value of each cell on the loop is the digit D cells along the loop in one direction from that cell, where D is the digit in that cell. The direction must be determined and is the same for all cells on the loop. The loop does not cross itself, does not branch and does not visit the same cell more than once.
Clues outside the grid are equal to the sum of all the values of cells between the 1 and 9 in that row or column. The 1 and 9 in these rows and columns are not on the loop.
Solve in SudokuPadSolution code: The values of each cell on the loop in row 3

This was excellent! It goes in some surprising directions and that Dög won't give up the last sandwich without a fight

Lovely! Thank you very much for creating and sharing this puzzle with a biting dög finish.

tried to enter the whole row ... must read more carefully. :-)
Very nice. dög just barks, doesn't bite but has some tricks in its tail.
