Purple Party

(Published on 20. May 2025, 22:33 by Scojo)

This puzzle uses a new rule invented by Organic_Cobbler8012 on Reddit, which is a twist on X-Sums and Region Sum Lines. You can find my original 6x6 puzzle that I made as a proof of concept below the main puzzle as a bonus. It doesn't need to be solved to register your solve.

Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
  • X-Sum Lines: A purple line with an X at the end can be divided into at least two distinct segments which each sum to the same total, which may be different for different lines. Starting from the X, the first digit on each segment gives the length of that segment.
  • Zippers: Along purple lines with a dot in the center, pairs of digits equidistant from the dot sum to the digit on the dot.

"Fun" puzzle, Scojo. I would work on tweaking the rules text for that X-Sum Line. Besides that, no notes.

Also. You were right okay. I was wrong. My logic on that middle line sucked. GG
