Long Long Arrows, Long Slow Thermos

(Published on 7. June 2025, 15:03 by lcy.30)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. (Put digits 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3 box.)
  • Arrows: The sum of digits along an arrow must equal the digit in that arrow's circle.
  • Slow Thermometers: Digits increase or stay the same along a slow thermometer, starting from the bulb.

Try the puzzle on the SudokuPad app by Sven Neumann.

Hint: Spot the hidden singles along rows and columns. You can consider the set of digits along the three arrows to determine the low digits.

Solution code: Row 1, from left to right.

At first, I pencil-MARK-ed it. It was going well until I made a mistake. I restarted and did some math on two arrows and the whole thing fell apart! Nice set.

Nice and easy. Didn't need the bottom arrow (box 7&8) at all.
