Sherdoku Holmes it happened again. All the digits went to a party but there was a murderer among them. We need your help to with the clues solve who the killer is.
Place all the digits 0-9 in each row, column, box, and marked diagonal but one digit in each was murdered and will not fit. The victims vary and can even be the same value as the killer.
Box 1: The Buffet Room - Digits on an arrow must sum to the number placed in that arrow's pill. The pill number must be read left to right.
Box 3: The Sitting Room - XV: Digits with an X add to 10, Digits with a V add to 5.
Box 5: The Kitchen - Killer cages: All digits in their cage sum to the value in the corner.
Box 7: Dance Room - German Whispers: Adjacent digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 5.
Box 9: The Bar - Thermometers: Digits along the grey line increase from bulb end.
Box 2,4,6,8: Hallways – Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot must be in a 2:1 ratio. Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive. In these boxes ONLY, all dots are given. Anti-Quadruples: Digits in the Red circle cannot appear in one of the four surrounding cells.
Find the killer as they hide their last victim. You will place/identify the killer once all else has been eliminated. In order to identify him know this: You will need all your senses added together to realize who the killer is.
Note: in box 5 the killer cages totals are 15,15, and 3.

Solution code: Row 4

Ok. I'm not getting why this puzzle doesn't have 2 solutions. Why does R4C5 have to be the number it is? I have it being 2 possible digits and there's nothing to disambiguate which has to be the solution.
I think that might be why you're not getting a high rating here. Either I'm completely missing a rule which further disambiguates box 5, there's a missing rule, or there are 2 valid solutions which I WOULD dock a rating for.... Everything else works well, but I'm not understanding why the last digit is the digit it is.

That is one of the features of this series. In the instructions there is a clue that provides the answer to the final cell.
‘Find the killer as they hide their last victim. You will place/identify the killer once all else has been eliminated. In order to identify him know this: You will need all your senses added together to realize who the killer is.’
To answer this riddle, how many senses do you have? And that identifies the actual killer and is to be placed in the final cell.
Hope that help you to understand.

Ok, as someone who hasn't done any of the previous puzzles, it was unclear that that last rule was to disambiguate the last cell. For newcomers, it would be easier to know if that were an actual rule or not. I mean the other rules are spelled out fairly clearly, I'm not sure why there's a need to obfuscate that this is also a rule that needs to be applied, but then again, I'm not the best at trying to find rules. I mean I was trying to figure out if "victims vary" was a rule that I wasn't interpreting correctly (as in they had to be DIFFERENT digits missing) when I got stuck for a little bit.
For me personally, while the ambiance can be fun at times, it's even more fun to have a clear set of rules so that I can understand what I'm trying to solve for, but maybe that's just me....

Not sure if this is the one I tried earlier and failed (I think it is), but this time I was able to get through it in <15 minutes. Very odd. I don't understand why this is only at 89%. This is one of my favorites. Thanks as always.

I have stopped trying to understand the ranking scores. They are so subjective it is frustrating to try to understand. I go and look at the some of the highest ranked puzzles and I don't think most of them deserve the rating they have by comparison to other puzzles that are lower on the list.
But such is life...

There's a problem in the rules: "The pill number must be read either left right." That doesn't mean anything.

Thank you for pointing that out.
It has been updated.
