• Every digit from 1 to 9 appears once in every row, column & region. 9 regions are to be determined. Every region is a set of 9 orthogonally connected cells.
• Consecutive Sums: A clue outside the grid indicates the total of all digits in its row or column that neighbour at least one consecutive digit within that row or column. All digits referred to by that clue are part of the same region, while all other digits in that corresponding row or column are in other regions.
For example, if a column contains, in order, the digits 128365497, the clue at the top of the column would be 18; the sum of 1, 2, 4, 5, & 6, which all belong to the same region. 8, 3, 9, & 7 are not part of that region, and are part of 1, 2, 3, or 4 other regions.
Here's an example puzzle to demonstrate the rules:
Hope you enjoy! 😄 - Any feedback or comments welcome!
Solution code: Row 6 (left to right) with dashes for region borders. (e.g. 123-4-56-789)
