Redundancies

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Entropic lines (peach, E): Every set of three adjacent values on an entropic line contain exactly one low (123), one medium (456), and one high (789) value.
Mod-3 lines (teal, M): Every set of three adjacent values on a mod-3 line must have different residues mod 3 (i.e. one must be from (147), one from (258), and one from (369)).
Region sum lines (blue, R): Box borders divide region sum lines into segments. The sum of the values on each segment of a region sum line are the same within a line (this total may differ between lines).
Modular rows and entropic columns: Each row of the puzzle is also a mod-3 line. Each column of the puzzle is also an entropic line.
Pseudo cells: Place 9 pseudo cells into the puzzle, one in each row, column, and box. The value of a pseudo cell is the cell’s box number (boxes numbered in normal reading order) regardless of the digit in that cell.

All of a sudden you realize what seemingly redundant is actually useful, just like how you thought what seemingly useful is redundant.
