Regular Sudoku

Slow-Thermo

(O) Bulbs ≤ Tips ( I )

Digits mustn't decrease along thermometers from bulb to tip.

...Digits may therefore repeat along thermometers.

Flows may merge or diverge, but must always end at a given tip.

In all circumstances, flow must be determined.

Colours are merely aesthetic and not part of the puzzle.

"In all circumstances, flow must be determined."
I understand that as "flow must be established/achieved"
Which is another way of saying: "That mess that looks like an elephant is actually a slow thermo sudoku." :D
Cheers!

I do not understand the rules here. R5C4 and R6C4 are connected by thermo. But you can consider the edge as part of the path R4C4-R6C5, or as part of the path R7C3-R5C5, which create contradicting constraints. That seems to be what the part about "flow" is about, but I don't get it. Does that just mean this edge is unconstrained? Then why is it even there? It seems to me that at least one of the thermo connections has to be removed for this puzzle to be solvable under the slow thermo constraint.

The 'flow' language in the rules is confusing and doesn't add anything, it would be more clear to simply state 'thermometers can merge and split'
