Targeted Sums (Region Sums, Hit Lines, Kropki Dots)

(Published on 24. April 2025, 04:57 by fractalJim)

Normal Sudoku rules apply: Put the numbers 1 to 9 once each in every row column and box.

Region Sum lines (light blue): Light blue lines are divided into segments with equal sums by box borders. Different lines may have different sums.

Hit lines (orange): The value of a hit line is the sum of all the digits on the line whose position counted from the start is the same as their value. For example if a 4 cell hit line had the digits 1364 on it, its sum would be 1 + 4 = 5. The first cell of a hit line is the cell touching a region sum line. The sum of a hit line must be the same as the sum of the region sum line segment it is touching.
