It was a great journey, thanks, Justin.

Ever since I started setting with liars and fog together and essentially crowned myself King of the Liars, others have been gunning for my throne... my only solace for how easily I've been bested and for clearly how much better they are at it, are the resulting puzzles. This is such a brilliant design.
This was such a treat to solve! and I'm suitably impressed with what you did with the circles; I've always struggled to use them to everyone's satisfaction, yet you've achieved it so readily and done so with such style. Well done.

I do not see a way to solve this without assuming the lines in box 3 are NOT connected. Am I missing anything?
----------
No you're absolutely right. That's my mistake. I've fixed the puzzle so that is known. Thank you!
----------
Thanks for the update. Have the rules been updated? Seems like it has not yet.
—————
I don’t think the rules need updating unless I missed something else. I just revealed a bit more fog at that point.
—————
Sorry, hadn't realized you updated the puzzle itself since I had already started it. Thanks!

Hard but very interesting to solve.

I am struggling to see the next step after correctly placing the middle cell and the one above and identifying which clues are correct/wrogn that relate to box 5.
Any hints or rules I am missing?
Edit:
The Fog clears very differently in the SudokuPad app and the webapp! I think the first is somewhat broken and makes it impossible to solve
—————
Sorry about that! I’m not really a developer but I have heard that the sudokupad app does not play nicely with fog generally (I always use the web app). Hopefully it was smooth sailing the rest of the way :)
—————
Using the webapp it was a pleasure to solve! Thanks for the great puzzle. I also did not require the circle constraint to solve it
—————
Thanks for the nice comment. Would you mind sharing how you ruled out something like this? You are the second commenter to find this and I’m not sure what I’m missing: https://imgur.com/a/1dYzE0L

Nice puzzle!
In the hope that the rules can better distinguish between the circles of the sum arrow and the circles count the number of digits. I mixed them up in the middle.
—————
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try to change it when I get home.

One of the rules is a lie! Fun puzzle
—————
Ah thanks, I meant the same cell twice.

Very cool. I never used the circles in the solve as I didn’t notice them. So i only saw them when I put in the wrong solution code. Very nice. Thanks

I think you might have missed a path like this then: https://imgur.com/a/1dYzE0L
Anyway, glad you enjoyed!
