Digits outside of the grid are First-Seen-Even-Odd clues.
An odd digit outside of the grid indicates the first odd digit seen in the row/column from the clue's side of the grid.
An even digit outside of the grid indicates the first even digit seen in the row/column from the clue's side of the grid.
Clues which contain both an even and odd digit do not imply anything about which of those two digits appears first.
The two "?" clues both represent the same even digit which must be determined by the solver. - For clarification, the positioning of the 6 clue below column 8 is purely for aesthetic effect.
