You awake to find yourself in a dark and unfamiliar environment. With no recollection of the events that led to this situation, your first instinct is to try and find a way out as quickly as possible, but as you rise to your feet a slip of parchment falls from your pocket onto the cold stone floor. As you go to retrieve the parchment you notice some text scrawled on it. It reads:
If you are reading this, it means that I was unsuccessful in stopping them from taking you to Suh’doh’kuh’s Labyrinth. Although I may not have been able to save you, I will do all I can to help you escape. The labyrinth is filled with creatures, traps, and ancient incantations. If you do not watch your step, you will surely perish. Of course, I cannot guide you through the labyrinth; however, I will impart some knowledge to you that I hope will be of some use. Here is a list of obstacles that you might encounter:
Cage runes: You should see a number in the top left corner of any cage you come across. Digits contained within the cage should sum to this number. Additionally, be careful not to repeat digits within a cage.
Arrow runes: The digit or digits along the arrow of these mystic symbols should sum to the digit in the connected circle. Digits may repeat on an arrow.
Blood trails: There will likely be some blood trails on the floor, which may be a slipping hazard. As long as digits along these blood trails alternate between odd and even, you should stay on your feet.
Spiders: If you come across a spider, DO NOT PANIC! Just make sure the digits either side of the spider form a 1:2 ratio. This will appease the spider.
Traps: Traps (marked by a skull) can be disarmed if the digits either side of the trap are consecutive.
Bats: Bats, like vampires, love to count. Make sure the digits either side of a bat sum to 5 and they should leave you alone.
Snakes: Snakes can be intimidating. Make sure you take large strides when moving past them. Adjacent digits along snakes should have a difference of at least 5.
And finally, as I am sure you already know, you should not repeat any digits in any row or column. You will have the digits 1-9 at your disposal, use them wisely.
The rest is up to you. I wish you the best of luck.
Your friend,
Graggle
On the other side of the parchment you notice some scribbled illustrations.
Note: This puzzle uses dynamic fog. Only some correctly placed digits will clear the fog. No guessing is required. Also, in case you missed it, this 7x7 puzzle uses the digits 1-9.

I may just be a Luddite (my name is also Mark). I will report back! I spent many hours playing Castle of the Winds as a kid (and teen and adult…) so this puzzle really appeals to me.
