My first squishdoku, of course had to be an index line. Thanks to all testers, and I hope you enjoy!

Squishdoku and Index lines seem like they would be a challenge to set but they certainly felt like a natural pair during the solve.

Lovely puzzle, one of the most satisfying I've done for a long time. Anything that requires me to colour in the grid in 9 different colors is a winner for me.
The squishdoku rule was a new one to me, I will look forward to trying more and seeing whether my brain can adapt to it.

Absolutely beautiful! It took me a while to start, but I got my brain around it.
The rules need better wording.

ChinStrap: Thanks for solving!
Which part needs better wording, the squishdoku or index line part? I have used the index line wording for all my puzzles, and I've updated the squishdoku part after another comment. Happy to fix if the newest version isn't good enough.

Fix rules wording

Very nice! I liked how the index lines made the squishdoku more approachable. I'd say 1.5* for someone who is familiar with both puzzle types. Thanks!
PS Please don't tell me to place 9 digits in 7 cells in the rules :)

Thanks for the solve! And yes you are completely right, I updated the wording to be correct. Thanks for catching!

Did it hurt my brain? Yes. Did I love it anyhow? You bet. Thank you for this tough, but fun nut to crack, ChinStrap!
